Tucked on a quiet street in northeast Bend with the canal running along the back of the property, Canal Trail Base Camp is a Craftsman-style four-bedroom that does exactly what the name promises: sends you out into Central Oregon in the morning, and makes coming home the best part of the day.
The deck is where this house earns its keep. There's a hot tub for the end of a long day, a gas firepit ringed with lounge seating, an outdoor dining table under an umbrella, and a BBQ a few steps away — plus room in the yard for a round of cornhole while dinner cooks. It backs onto open ground and the canal, so the whole setup feels private, and it's the spot guests come back to trip after trip.
Inside, the layout is built for a full house. An oversized sectional anchors the living room, with a fireplace, a TV, and sliding doors that open straight onto the deck so the two spaces run together. Big windows pull in a lot of high desert light.
