The highlight of this apartment is without a doubt the breathtaking sea view from the balcony. The private balcony is perfect for enjoying breakfast outdoors or a romantic dinner at sunset.
The apartment was recently refurbished and is ideal for two people. It is on the second floor (no lift) and measures around 55m². It provides a living room-kitchen with a kitchen corner equipped with a stove, fridge and washing machine, a dining corner, a flatscreen TV and couch, a bedroom with a double bed (180cm wide) and a bathroom with a shower, WC and bidet. In the bedroom and in the living room-kitchen there is air conditioning (cool/warm).
The balcony is furnished with a small table and two deckchairs.
As the apartment is located right at the heart of Ortigia, the old part of the town of Siracusa, all the sights are within a few minutes' walk. The cathedral and its piazza (in our opinion the most beautiful piazza in Sicily!), the Apollo Temple, Aretusa Fountain, Bellomo and Archimedes Museums, the Arabian quarter "Graziella" and the Jewish ghetto "Giudecca" – everything is in the immediate vicinity of the apartment. In the many restaurants and typical Italian bars the famous Sicilian hospitality awaits you. It is difficult to choose, but we have a list of our favourite restaurants available. Fruit and vegetables, as well as all kinds of fish and seafood can be bought fresh daily at the nearby Ortigia market. In summer you can go swimming nearby. Just a couple of minutes away there is the "municipal solarium": plateaux made of wood are built in cliffs with direct access to the sea. A little further on, access was created to a small municipal beach (rough pebble). The people of Siracusa and many holiday-makers love this place. The nearest bus stop is about 100 metres away. The owners are happy to provide further information about essential sights, where to get the best fish or pizza, where the most beautiful sandy beach is, how to get to other places. The owners can also help with hiring bicycles: high-quality city bikes, road bikes and mountain bikes. This apartment is especially suited to guests who would like to manage without a hire car.
