Summary: I booked this as a backup for the festival opening week and ended up being very pleasantly surprised. Sweet and warm welcome, extremely helpful staff. Nice atmosphere amongst travellers as well. I guess the bad reviews are either from an earlier period or people don't understand it's a hostel. I was very glad to see a fan spinning in the room at night as it was very hot. Basic but generous breakfast for free. Showers are old but what can you say at this price - unbeatable regarding the prices at this time in Arles. Definitely want to come back. Nice experience.
